The MSIT SMD India is looking for a talented, high potential person to help scale our group’s strategy and capabilities. SMD India is the integrated Operations delivery arm of the SMD organization. As the SMD India Business Manager you will report to the organization leader and drive the rhythm of the business (RoB), manage the budget, team communications, health and infrastructure and overall business planning, management processes.
The individual will provide insight and advice to management concerning operational excellence, headcount, resource and fiscal planning, develop, resourcing strategies, cost efficacy, implement and manage group strategy, participate in decision making and assist in implementing policies, processes and procedures.
The successful Business manager will demonstrate leadership and management agility, highly developed analytical skills, basic understanding of Finance processes, excellent marketing skills to evangelize service offerings, ability to think strategically and influence without authority, ability to translate key themes and tactics into understandable messages for broad consumption, ability to solve unstructured business problems and deal effectively with ambiguity, and solid relationship and communication skills in working with senior managers and groups across Microsoft..
Responsibilities:
Business Planning: Analyze general business trends to provide insight for long range planning and executive reviews. Manage and run the planning process for the business ensuring coordination with corporate planning processes. Work with cross-divisional counterparts to drive team participation as needed, next fiscal year planning, and Strategy Reviews. Run the team participation in Business and Service Reviews and other strategic planning activities. Drive the budgeting process and partner with Finance for forecasting and budget planning projects. Actively manage the group’s budget to ensure contribution margin targets are met or exceeded. Manages the Purchase Orders and the vendor’s contract negotiations. Building Resourcing strategies for the organization and build scalable delivery model. Identify and plan the cost efficacy projects.
Business Process: Develop and run the Fiscal Year RoB calendar for planning events and coordination of business processes and management control processes. Establish and rationalize the rules of engagement with key stakeholder/dependency groups and partners.
Business Reporting: Work across the team to develop and evolve the metrics and scorecards used for measuring the success of the business. Establish, optimize, and track the business’ key performance indicators.
Team Communications: Develop team communication, memos and presentations for team meetings and other internal communications at major corporate milestones such as MBR, Service Reviews and next FY planning. Establish and maintain communication vehicles including team Share point, the Organization leader’s site. Plan and manage team meetings including All Hands, staff meetings and manager meetings. Orchestrate regular technical and business reviews with primary team.
Team Development: Lead team health initiatives including managing the WHI v-team, recruiting process, driving MS Poll action planning, driving team development program and employee recognition programs.
Special Projects: Drive high-impact cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and ensure the team is achieving the commitments

Must have
Ability to get things done (without boiling the ocean) in a large and complex organizational environment
Ability to think strategically at a cross-group level. Develop key processes that facilitate consistent efficient management of the business planning, reporting and control processes.
Excellent cross-group skills, especially driving for results from others who may have different goals and commitments ranging from GMs to ICs to support staff
Experience leading virtual teams and the ability to develop internal and external relationships
Proven ability to drive and complete projects in a complex organizational environment
Excellent analytical, problem resolution and decision-making skills
Highly organized with the ability to strategically think long-term about business needs and opportunities
Extremely strong written, verbal and creative communication skills
Adaptability, flexibility and creativity

ITIL Foundation Certification
MOF Essentials/Training
Knowledge of marketing disciplines is a plus
BA/BS, MBA preferred
